The Craft

Of all the pieces in the collection, the Contour makes the greatest demands on the hand. Every line must follow the curvature of the silhouette precisely narrowing and widening as the form contracts at the waist, navigating the lobes without breaking the rhythm of the contour. This is not work that can be rushed or approximated. The artisans who make it must hold the logic of the entire form in mind as they work each individual line, understanding how each channel relates to the shape as a whole.
